TWO CARD MONTE

1. You need 2 card of the same value; in this case I used the red aces and the black queens. See pictures below. NOTE: (you're not suppose to show him the 4 cards, we're going to show the aces only).

2. Turn all the cards over on top of the deck.

3. Show the top card, turn it over then give it to the spectator and let him hold it using his thumb and index finger.

4. Then have a break on the top three cards, don’t make it obvious though.

5. Turn it all over as one, show him the ace of diamond, and don’t forget to maintain a break. [For misdirection ask him to take a look at the card that he’s holding]

5. Then turn all the cards over, and take the top card which is supposed to be the ace of diamond but it’s actually the queen of spades. Tell him that you’re going to test his memory that you’re going to switch the card in his hand, the ace of diamond and the ace of heart. Do it slowly so that he can follow, it’s important to put the ace of heart at the bottom, after that ask him where’s the diamond, where’s the heart. It doesn’t matter if he’s wrong or right just don’t let him turn the cards over to avoid seeing the queen of spades.

7. Take the ace of heart and tell him that this time you’re going to do it a little bit faster, [remember he’s already holding the queen of spades] then as you’re talking to him slide the top card sideways on top of the deck for preparation of switching.

8. Then put the ace of heart on top of the deck then take the card that’s sticking out.

In other words just switch the top card and the ace of heart secretly.

9. Then tell him that you’re now going to switch the ace of heart and the ace of diamond a bit faster, do it fast. It doesn’t matter at all because it wasn’t the aces anymore; now have him guess which is which.

10. After that, ask him are you sure? Then let him turn the cards over.
